Ancient Chinese Poetry, Philosophy and Chinese Ink Painting
Thu 15 Jul 2010
Dr Ian Johnston and illustrator Susan Collis will speak at Asia Bookroom at 6pm on Thursday July 15 about two recent books of Chinese translation.

Ian Johnston's delightful translation of ancient Chinese poetry 'Waiting for the Owl: poems and songs from ancient China' is illustrated by Susan Collis and together with 'Mozi A Complete Translation' (the first bilingual translation of this ancient Chinese philosopher to be published in the West) also translated by Ian Johnston, form the catalyst for a discussion of Chinese poetry, philosophy and ink painting.

An event not to be missed for anyone interested in Chinese traditional culture.
