Award Winning Young Adult Authors at Asia Bookroom - Kirsty Murray and Anthony Eaton
Fri 20 Aug 2010
Award winning YA author, Anthony Eaton will launch Kirsty Murray's latest gripping historical fiction at Asia Bookroom.

Based on a true story, 'India Dark' is a vivid recreation of the demise of one of Australia's most famous troupes of child performers. Wracked by scandal, Pollard's Lilliputian Opera Company's last tour of Southeast Asia and India ended in disgrace in the High Court of Madras.

Kirsty Murray travelled across India and Asia to research the novel and was an Asialink Literature resident at the University of Madras in 2007. Kirsty will discuss the truth behind the fiction and the impact of the court case in Australia and India.
