| Asia Bookroom supplies many libraries in Australia and around the world with material on Asia, Pacific & the Middle East. We would welcome the opportunity to show you what we can do for your library.
We recognise that not all libraries are the same and that the needs of your library and its clients change over time. We are keen - and knowledgable enough - to help you build and refine the sort of collection that reflects the needs and desires of your clients both now and into the future. Asian history, culture, language, literature, art . . . . in fact anything and everything from Manga to academic monographs - we can supply! Asia Bookroom has specialised in books on Asia for many years and thus we can offer what more general library suppliers can't - Asian expertise! We know what is available now in our field, what is coming out soon, how to get out of print books, and most importantly where to get the unusual as well as the more readily available books and other Asia related resources that your library needs. We would be delighted to discuss with you the needs of your library at any time. Although based in Canberra we visit other Australian cities and regions (and other countries) frequently. | We specialise in books relating to Asia, Pacific and the Middle East, as well as antiquarian maps and prints. Our book stock includes new, secondhand and out-of-print titles, and we also search for specific out-of-print requests. Our quality books cover many subjects in great depth - to get an overview of our range please browse through the topics listed in the drop down topic box on the Search facility on this site.
If you would like to get a taste of our books without initially subscribing to our lists please let us know what subject/s you are interested in and we will prepare and send a tailored list to you. Lists can be issued in many electronic formats or in hardcopy. Please let us know what is best for your library. | |

| We appreciate that time is often the rarest commodity for anyone working in a library and/or educational institution these days! With this in mind we have developed a variety of methods to keep you informed about new books or older books that might be of interest. These include our highly specialised regular E-lists (available in a number of formats - ask us about this), personal visits to libraries, whenever possible; specialised alerts or bulletins when titles in your current collection area arrive and processing of your institutions want lists to mention just a few. Please let us know what is the most convenient way for you to receive information and we will make every effort to work in with you. We aim to make every interaction you have with us pleasurable and fuss-free!

Great Freight Rates |

| Budgets are always tight and the money your institution has in its budget is better spent on library resources and not on freight! We fully appreciate this and want to help you stretch your budget further.
Within Australia we offer a subsidised postal rate of $8.80 per parcel anywhere in Australia. This means we can send your 20 kilo parcel of books to Perth and we still only charge $8.80! For overseas libraries we offer a consolidation scheme. Freight to non-Australian destinations is considerably cheaper if sent in larger quantities. To take advantage of this we will consolidate your orders and only send when an amount we have mutually agreed on is arrived at. However of course, if you would like your parcel sent immediately this will be done. It is your choice! We are big enough to offer you these options but small enough to accommodate your library's needs! | |

| We are pleased to accept library orders both for books in our stock and those not in stock.
If ordering a book in stock we would appreciate it if you would quote our Stock ID number accompanied by short title. When ordering books not currently in stock please quote ISBN, title, author and publication details if available - or as many of these details as you have available. Backorders |

| At Asia Bookroom we make every effort to provide the books you ordered immediately, but sometimes books are out of stock. We will backorder all titles we can not fill when your order arrives and supply these books as soon as they become available again.
In the case of out of print and antiquarian material we note your interest and will let you know as soon as we have another copy of this book. We also offer an out of print search service - please inquire for more details. | |

| We are pleased to supply libraries and institutions on invoice. Our standard trading terms is payment in full within 30 days, but if required, other terms may be negotiated. Please inquire.
We welcome payment by cheque, direct bank deposit or credit card. All major credit cards accepted. | |
