Volume I: 14 engraved plates, viii + 520pp. Volume II: 17 plates, vi + 563pp. Volume III: 3 plates, 554pp. Large folding partly coloured map of the Indian Archipelago at the rear of Volume III, some folds splitting, one causing a small closed tear not seriously affecting the image. Small octavo. Decorative panelled backstrips laid down, gilt, title labels, marbled paper covered boards. Binding quite rubbed and faded but still sound. New endpapers, library labels upper paste downs (slightly torn in Volume III), name stamp of a more recent owner on front free endpapers, occasional browning, text clean, a fair set of a now hard to find title.
