254pp, bibliography, index, very good copy in dustjacket. Noted Russian sinologue Iulian Shchutskii wrote this book between 1928 and 1935 but it was not published until 1960 (in Russian). In this book Shchutskii looked at how the I Ching was first put together and what the terms meant when they were written. Accordingly, he goes back to the original text, studies the structure of its language, and examines its concepts in terms of its own images and ideas rather than through the preconceived constructs with which most Western scholars approach the book.
