Disney inspired sugoroku in original box with a die and 4 counters. 53.2 x 76.5cm. Light occasional browning, few closed tears along folds, box worn and split in places, particularly at edges. Very good. Based on the Disney animated film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" the artwork on this sugoroku is by Uchino Sumio (うちのすみお or 内野純緒, one of the manga pioneers. Uchino Sumio was a director in animation for the first Japanese TV animation series Tetsuwan Atom created by Tezuka Osamu, which began in 1963. The National Diet Library in Japan lists about twenty of his manga books with publication dates ranging from 1952 to 1977 with the majority published in the 1950s. These books include adaptations to manga from Disney animations, such as Song of the South, Peter Pan, and Fun and Fancy Free. Uchino was also involved in the illustrations for the series titles, Dizunī kessaku zenshū, Masterpieces from Disney. Uchino's Disney related works were mainly published between 1952 and 1957.
