A group of 25 items for a ephemera from the collection of an Australian lady traveller. The lady decided to start travelling alone in 1961. It was during that year that many of the items in this collection were collected during a trip to India. These include:

1961 India trip: 2 coloured travel fold out brochures - Calcutta; Darjeeling; both stamped Central Travel Bureau, 230 Collins St, Melbourne on upper cover. Folded leaf brochure for The Ivory Palace in Delhi; An official numbered invitation for the Republic Day Parade on January 26, 1961 with accompanying leaf showing a map of the route the parade would take and on its reverse a seating plan and car park sign for the dashboard. An embroidered textile from The Poona & Indian Village Mission Orphan Boys Handicrafts.

The trip to India was followed by two others - one to various Southeast Asian countries in the late 1960s or early 1970s and a trip to China in 1979.
