The five types of Chinese folk performance are: 相声 (Cross Talk): A traditional Chinese comedic performing arts normally with witty dialogues between two performers. 独角戏 (Monodrama): A storytelling theatrical performance with one or two performers. It was popular in the 1950s and 1960s in China. 对口快板 (Duo Chinese Rap): One type of the traditional Chinese rap. Dialogues between two performers with rapid speed and rhythmed by bamboo clappers. 快板書(Rap Storytelling): A form of rhythmic storytelling performance that is popular in northern China. Performed with bamboo clappers. 三句半 (Three and Half Sentence): A type of Chinese rap.
