Ten albumen cabinet cards from six Hong Kong studios. One card is the portrait of a Chinese merchant, eight cards show European men, women, couples or children and a tenth shows a procession with crowds lining either side of the road. This image identified on the reverse in pencil as Queen's Road, Central near City Hall.
The reverse of six cards advertise the photography studio responsible for the photograph. Lower corner of the card showing the procession is torn with loss to card, one photograph showing a European couple is a little faded, most images are very good and bright. A little minor wear at edges of some cards. A very good and interesting group. From the collection of Hong Kong historian, artist and collector, Arthur Hacker. The studios represented in this collection of cabinet cards are:
