Large festive Chinese Cultural Revolution papercut on red paper celebrating Chairman Mao's birthday. Mao Zedong's portrait is highlighted in the centre and decorated by sunflowers at his feet. The emblem of CPC, a yellow hammer and sickle, is surrounded by nine stars representing the upcoming "9th National Congress of the Communist Party of China" which was held between April 1 and 24, 1969. Very good, text in Chinese, papercut measures 70 x 50cm. Text on upper right section reads, "One billion Chinese people welcome the opening of the 9th National Congress of the CPC".
Text lower section translates, "Wishing Chairman Mao have ten thousand years of boundless longevity". (When referring to this item please quote stockid 160352).
