Edition of the well-known photo magazine Asahi Graph from October 1941. The contents of the magazine show how intensely Japan was already engaged in psychological preparation for all-out war on the eve of Pearl Harbor. The cover illustration is a photo of Takagi Yuriko, who was about to marry Emperor Hirohito's brother Prince Mikasa. The first page of the magazine has dramatic photos of fighting on the China front, and these are followed by an article highlighting the dangers of the "ABCD Line" - the alliance between America, Britain, China and the Dutch, which the Japanese government saw as blocking Japan's access to vital resources in Southeast Asia.

Other articles depict the rehabilitation and training being received by soldiers wounded on the battle front, schoolchildren receiving military-style training, young people practicing karate and schoolboys receiving physical check-ups and sun-lamp treatment to turn them into "strong soldiers". An article on Singapore emphasises the city state's role as Britain's "Fortress in the Far East", complete with photos of a British artillery unit and RAF aircraft in Singapore. A few articles are unrelated to war - including one on a cobra research centre in Bangkok and one on fishing in Sennan (near Osaka). The back pages include a quiz and comic strip.
