Brochure, single sheet printed double sided and folded with 12 panels. 10 panels give an Outline of Bujun (Fushun) Colliery including its history , description, operation of the mines, accessory plants, labour, and town planning. The brochure opens out to reveal a striking birds-eye view of the colliery with 9 black and white photographic plates and two diagrams on the same sheet. A handsome and very interesting item of ephemera. Folded 19 x 9cm. Sheet measures 37.9 x 52.8cm. Fushun was occupied by the Japanese between 1905 and the end of World War II. During this period the coal mines and industry that the region is still known for was developed. This English language Japanese brochure provides a very positive view of the colliery including relationships between management and workers.
