Japanese poster for the 1957 documentary film from the Melbourne Olympics produced by the French company CSA Pro with the official approval of the Olympic Organizing Committee. The director was Rene Lucot and the assistant director of Anatole Litvak. The Japanese edition of this film was supervised by a sports critic, Nobuyuki Kawamoto, with the commentary by Shiro Nose.
The documentary begins by introducing the Australian landscape around Melbourne, showed the Opening Ceremony on November 22nd, and then followed the enthusiastic reception of various games during the tournament. It covered the 100th meter qualifiers through to the final day's marathon on December 1st and included the players' rest on the Sunday and finally, the closing ceremony on December 8th is reached.
