Japanese soldier's diary which covers the period from defeat to demobilization. Yamamoto Tatsuo from the 46th division at Rempang tells of the shooting deaths of Japanese military regiment by Japanese military officers, negotiations of the Japanese army by the British, and fruit farm work on Rempang island. There are many descriptions related to food. This is an unusual serviceman's account which does not focus on the battlefield but rather life after defeat.
