Musical score in western notation and lyrics of the Manchurian national anthem Some light even browning. 19 cm x 13 cm Bilingual lyrics in Chinese characters and Japanese katakana accompany Western musical notation. Text on the lower cover gives the lyrics in Chinese and Japanese together with instructions as to how to sing the anthem. This anthem, was the first of two Manchukoku national anthems and became official on February 24, 1933. The anthem, by Zheng Xiaoxu, is a Chinese style light melody which despite the lack of Japanese lyrics, was familiar to many Japanese. (When referring to this item please quote stockid 163155).
