大阪朝日新聞. Taisho 14 [1925]. Stock ID #163288

Colour folding sugoroku featuring a map at its centre publlished as a supplement to Osaka Asahi Shinbun no. 15818 on 20 Dec 1925. 54.3 cm x 78.2 cm. Some light browning along lower margin, occasional spotting, few tiny holes at folds, small chip upper left margin, overall very good. Published to commemorate the historic flight of the aeroplanes "Hatsukaze (First Wind)" 初風 and "Kochikaze (East Wind)" 東風 who were the first to fly without stopping from Japan to Europe. At the right corner of sugoroku, there is a portrait of the pilots and engineers. This sugoruku traces the route that the planes flew. Starting from Tokyo, the players travel to Europe via China. Rome is their destination. The distance between cities is shown between each pair of squares. At the bottom right Mount Fuji is shown from the air. The game allows you to specify the weather and speed depending on the number of dice encouraging players to think like a pilot!

At the same day and same issue number, the same sugoroku was published as a supplement called "Ōhō daihikō kinen hikō yūgi" The difference between the two being the order of the portraits at the top right corner. This is the more uncommon of the two issues.ō (When referring to this item please quote stockid 163288).
