Large festive Chinese propaganda papercut on red paper with paper backing. The papercut depicts a group of musicians and performers in their stage costume (peasants, workers and soldiers) gathered together on the stage, many are holding Mao's quotations. One elderly Uyghur man, kneeling on one knee at the left, is playing a hand drum. A small head and collar portrait of Mao appears in the upper section of the image. In very good condition. Papercut sheet measures 49.9 x 69.2cm.
