Sixteen beautiful coloured designs for furosiki with an accompanying pages showing eight different font styles. 25.8 cm x 13 cm folds out to . Original green card boards worn with a little loss and creasing, one illustration torn with a little loss, light vertical crease but overall very good. Furoshiki means 'wrapping cloth'. The meaning changes a little when "O" is inserted in front of the word Furoshiki. Ofuroshiki is usually used as a meaning to wrap a box for putting a souvenir when the groom goes to the bride's parents house saying "Please give me a daughter". However, the Furoshiki listed in this catalogue contains the name of restaurants, kimono stores, banks, a rice shop. Maybe it was a sales catalogue for a company, "Would you like to create a company or shop original Furoshiki?"
As time went by, Furoshiki turned into paper and plastic bags, but recently, it has been attracting attention again because of environmental concerns. The advantage is that the size can be freely changed and it is easy to carry. (When referring to this item please quote stockid 163409).
