Bright colour full page plates throughout. 50pp. 18.4 cm x 25.5 cm. Stamps of the shop selling these jackets inside covers. Some occasional light browning, patterned paper covered upper cover, covers little marked worn at edges and damaged with a little loss and discolouration on spine. Tissue guards creased and a little foxed, still an attractive and unusual catalogue. Happi jackets are a traditional Japanese costume, which are worn during festivals and used by artisans. Unlike kimonos that cover up to the ankles, Happi, whose height is limited to the waist, although usually regarded as male clothing can be worn by either sex during festivals.
