Black and white frontispiece with tissue guard, numerous illustrations. Coloured folding map at the rear, xxiv+ 316pp, index. Original yellow cloth pictorial boards, lettered in black, Top edge gilt. The half-title has been partially glued to the front pastedown and has a 0.6cm loss to lower edge. The bright yellow cloth is lightly soiled, the spine only faintly darkened. Chop to title-page. Text block is clean and sound. A very good copy. 19.5 x 13.5cm.
