Blue cloth covered boards slightly discoloured and rubbed at the edges, gutter has a small split at the top, head of spine lacking 2mm, lettering on spine rubbed. Handwritten inscription on the endpaper dated January 1927 Canton. Small Bookseller stamp in Chinese and English with the price of $1.20 (presumably Mexican dollars) on the front pastedown. Opening between gatherings between pages 32 and 33, neat note explaining the meaning of a Chinese expression tipped in lower margin of page 33. Still a good copy of a scarce title. 18.5 x 12.5cm.
