Interesting Chinese world map in colour, issued as supplement of a publication titled 世界知識 "World Affairs" 1966 no.2 and 3 issues, folded, scale not given. Chairman Mao's quotation upper margin, editorial notes lower section giving details on US imperialism and its invasion every parts of the world. Neatly repaired with archival tape along folds and one edge, some light browning mainly visible on the reverse. Neat ink annotation on reverse. Still presents well.
Text in Chinese. Map measures 34.4 x 48.2cm. This map shows us that the US deployed thousands upon thousands of military around the world, with 250,000 in West Germany, 200,000 in South Vietnam, 55,000 in South Korea and a total of 90,000 in Japan. The black dots represent the overseas US military bases mainly located on the coast of East Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, West Europe and some Pacific regions.

Mao's quotation reads "The raging tide of the people of the world against the U.S. aggressors is irresistible. Their struggle against U.S. imperialism and its lackeys will assuredly win still greater victories". (When referring to this item please quote stockid 172131).
