This magazine, published by the Japanese Olympics Supporters' Association, is a comprehensive photographic record of the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne. The games were the first ones that Japan participated after World War 2 and anticipation in Japan was very high. At the same time, Australia still held fairly strong anti-Japanese feeling due to the Pacific War around that time and watched the visiting team closely. At the end, it was successful sporting games for both sides.

The cover features a group photograph of the Japanese and American teams together. The issue starts with the team's departure, arrival in the Melbourne Olympic village, Melbourne streetscapes, and the opening ceremony. Many sporting games are featured, including athletics, soccer, basketball and wrestling. The Japanese team did quite well in swimming and gymnastics and won numerous medals. The well-known photograph of two swimming rivals, Murray Rose of Australia and Tsuyoshi Yamanaka after the 1500 metre race is featured. They were praised with their sportsmanship and friendship. The issue covers the closing ceremony and the team's arrival back at home. Team photographs with individual athletes' names are included at the end of the issue.
