This book was written by Sato Eisuke on Japanese history from mythical creation period up to modern period of 1930s in 12 chapters. Each chapter summarises the period and gives details of important people's historical achievements. One of the colour illustrations features Kamikaze (Gods' wind) which blew to defeat the Mongolian invaders to Japan in 1274. This book brings out national historiography at the time just pior to the Pacific War.
