Large colour folding map of the world with attractive border of some curiously chosen flags and coats of arms along the upper and lower margins, 78 x 110 cm. Two corresponding (when folded) areas of damage can be seen off the east coast of Japan and the west coast of the United States, a little marking upper right corner. Other than this the map is particularly clean and bright.

This large map of the world was a new year supplement for a boys' magazine, Shonen Kurabu 少年倶楽部 in January 1931. Japan and its territories in red are positioned in the centre of the map. The vastness of Russia and the British Empire stand out and the Irish Free State is still indicated as being part of the UK.
