Three House of Commons Command Papers, 24.3 x 15.6, tables, original stab sewn blue title-wrappers, in all 47 pp, with the neat the ink stamp of the University of Hull Library to each of the front wrappers, previous owner's pencilled name to the head of the final report, slight edge wear and toning, but in very good condition. Accompanied by official letter of the de-acquisition of these reports.

Three comprehensive trade reports for Shanghai for 1901-4, 1905 and 1906. The final by British diplomat, explorer and businessman, Archibald Rose (1879-1961) notes "Th port of Shanghai is now recognised as the greatest distributing centre of the Far East...it becomes each year of greater interest to the manufacturer and producer, both in the United Kingdom and in India, Canada and Australia...and the port...now ranks as the eighth shipping port in the world."
De-accessioned from the University of Hull Library, sold with their letter of consent.
