Volume 2: 22 double folded leaves, thread broken but the binding is still firm; Volume 5: 27 double folded leaves, 14 x 22 cm, covers slightly worn and marked, title labels on covers, covers a little creased but still very good.

These 2 volumes from the set of 6 volumes 大工雛形 (Daiku hinagata, Carpentry plans). 新板武家雛形二 (Volume 2: Samurai House Architectural Plans) covers entrance gates, interior and a horse stable of Samurai houses with illustrations and texts. The other volume, 新板小坪規矩追加五 (Volume 5: Furniture and Storage Plans Appendix) covers furniture and tool storage plans with illustrations and texts. Each book provides detailed measurements and instructions so that buildings and furniture can be reproduced by carpenters. The work was first published in the Edo period (Kyoho 2, 1717) and reprinted in Meiji 9 (1876).
