Engraving on laid paper 27.2 x 17 cm (platemark including caption); 37.2 x 22.5 cm (sheet), decorative border and title cartouche, top corner a little creased, margins with scattered spotting, but in very good condition.

This engraving of mendicants entreating alms, appeared in George Anderson's compilation of 18th Century English voyages "A New, Authentic, and Complete Account of Voyages Round the World" (1785), this example re-engraved for John Hamilton Moore's "New & Complete collection of voyages & Travels" published in the same year.
