1950s Chinese colour map of the first Indochina War, folded, scale 1:10,000,000, showing Vietnam, and in outline parts of Cambodia, Laos and Thailand, and Southern China including Hainan Island.

Inset map on the left is titled "Red River Delta" (scale 1:3,000,000). A legend in the lower left corner shows the Liberated Zone in red, Guerrilla Occupied Region in thin red stripes, Enemy Occupied Region in white, national/provincial boundaries, railways, roads and their numbers, capital cities. Stamp on reverse reads "Reference Unit, General Office of New Knowledge Publishing House", suggesting it was a copy held in the publisher's office. A little browning along folds with minor wear at edges, overall very good. Text in Chinese. Sheet measures 36.9 x 25cm.
