An Eye-Witness in Manchuria. Behind the Censorship. How Japan is Waging War in the Far East.

London. Martin Lawrence Ltd., n.d. c 1932. Stock ID #179328

Black & white map of railways in Manchuria at the rear, small cancelled library stamp on the title page and lower edge, no other library markings, limp card wrappers, spine lightly chipped at head and tail, endpapers lightly browned, internally a sound and clean copy. 22 x 14cm.

The author's personal account as a newspaper correspondent to Manchuria in 1932. The country had been under Japanese military occupation since September 1931 and was ruled by a thinly disguised Japanese military dictatorship. He wrote this pamphlet to supply information - difficult to obtain from outside, on the events and developments in Manchuria that the 'Japanese imperial propagandists', tried to screen from the West.
