A set of four propaganda posters, complete, prepared by the short- lived (1937-1939) Japanese puppet state - South Chahar Autonomous Government. Tiny closed tear upper margin of first poster now neatly repaired with washi. An impressive set in excellent condition. 79 x 17.5cm.

Motto no. 1 white text printed against a blue background reads "日察如一" [Japanese-Chahar Unity]
Motto no. 2 white text printed against a red background reads "剷除共黨" Eradication of Communist Forces]
Motto no. 3 white text printed against a yellow background reads "民族协和" [Ethnic Coordination]
