Along the Indian Road.

London. Hodder & Stoughton. 1939. Stock ID #127873

x + 278pp, hardback, worn and chipped dustjacket foxed, now protected, spine browned, endpapers patchily browned, edges and outermost leaves lightly foxed, occasional underlining in coloured pencil and pen, newspaper clipping tipped in to one leaf, name half-title, a sound copy nonetheless.

Intended as sequel to author's "The Christ of the Indian Road". "But, do not think that because the Indian Road is leisurely, it is haphazard and goal-less. On the contrary, there is a very serious vein running through the whole journey - it is all toward a Goal. And so it is with this book - we go into many by-paths, but the saving thing that we know they are by-paths. At the close we come out at the Goal. The last word in this book is "Christ" - purposely so." From Introduction.
