We offer multiple convenient methods for placing orders:

1. Website: Secure ordering is available online through our website. Clicking on any item link in our emails will direct you to the detailed listing with an option to order securely

4. Email: You may email your order to us at books@AsiaBookroom.com. For security reasons please do not include your credit card details in the email. Once we receive your order, we will send you a secure payment link to complete the transaction.

Order Consolidation Service
To assist our customers in reducing postage costs, we offer a consolidation service. With this option, you can pay for items at the time of ordering, and we will hold them for an agreed period. This allows you to add more items to your order over time, effectively lowering the postage cost per item when they are shipped together. If you're interested in utilizing this service, please inform us when placing your initial order, and we will provide the necessary details.

For Libraries and Institutions
Please include your purchase order number with your order where applicable. We accept orders via our Website, by Phone, over WhatsApp, via email, or mail. For out-of-print titles, we recommend contacting us to reserve books promptly, as they often sell quickly. We will confirm availability and hold the item until your purchase order arrives.

Accounts for Institutions
We are pleased to offer a 30 day account to libraries and other institutions. Please inquire for details.

Postal Charges
    Within Australia: We offer a flat postage charge of AU$9.90 for any size parcel anywhere in Australia.
    Outside Australia: Postage is charged at cost.

Payment methods
We accept payments by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and PayPal. Direct bank transfers (T/T payments) are also welcome. Please be aware that international transfers may incur additional charges to cover bank fees. Domestic bank transfers within Australia are free. Please inquire for our bank account details.

Order Processing
    In-stock items: Orders for items currently in stock are typically processed and dispatched within 1-2 business days after payment confirmation.
    Out of stock items: For items not in stock, we will inform you of the estimated availability and shipping date. You may choose to wait for all items to be available for a single shipment or receive partial shipments as items become available.

International Orders
    Customs and Import Duties: International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees that may apply upon arrival in the destination country.
    Shipping Restrictions: Some items may be restricted or prohibited in certain countries. Please ensure that the items you order comply with your local regulations.

Returns and Refunds
    Return Policy: We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided items are returned in original condition. Please contact us before returning.
    Refund Process: Refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 7 business days after receiving the returned item.
    Return Shipping Costs: Unless the return is due to our error, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

We want you to be 100% satisfied in all your dealings with us. We are experienced booksellers who appreciate the importance of condition and make every effort to carefully and fairly describe each book we handle. To ensure this happens we take great pains to accurately describe the condition of our books in cases, such as antiquarian or secondhand books, where a condition description is required. If you see no explanation of condition in a description of a book on our site, you can safely assume that it is either a new book or is a secondhand/out of print book in excellent condition.

We are members of the Australia and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers (ANZAAB) and abide by the Association's codes of practice.

However sometimes mistakes happen or the items in your order are just not what you expected, in this case just let us know within a week of receipt. Items can be returned for a credit for the full cost of the title (please contact us first before returning the item). Of course, if we have made an error in the description, or the item has been damaged in transit, we can arrange for its replacement, or if that isn't possible, a full refund.

Returns

We appreciate the difficulties of buying by mail order and aim to make every purchase from Asia Bookroom a pleasure.

Customers may wish to return a title for any of the following reasons.

  • The book is not as described
  • The book is defective (misbound or a similar problem)
  • Book/s damaged in transit
  • We also recognise that sometimes a book is just not what you expected.

Please contact us if you wish to return a title for any of the above reasons. We ask that you contact us within 7 days of receipt if you wish to return a title.

Very occasionally books are lost in transit. It is vital in these cases that we are informed promptly as it becomes almost impossible to trace, even an insured package, after a period. Please contact us if you are concerned that your parcel has taken too long to arrive. Our packing is of the highest standard and it is very rare for faulty packaging to be the cause.
