A complete set of 24 full page colour plates loosely presented in portfolio with title in Chinese on upper cover. 27 leaves in the publisher's folder, 37 x 26cm, with three leaves of text in Chinese, including brief introduction of Chinese brocade fabric and lists of the plates, and 24 leaves of colour woodblock plates feature gold and silver highlights and show various brocade patterns from the Ming Dynasty period. Covers little soiled, edges of some leaves of text a little worn, otherwise in very good condition.

The brocade fabric designs in this book are complied from the covers of orthodox Buddhist scriptures between 1403 and 1424 (Ming Dynasty 1386-1644).
