Delightful folding pictorial colour world map published as a supplement in Shonen Kurabu (少年倶楽部) v. 20, no. 12. A few tiny holes at folds, occasional light browning, a very good copy. 79 x 109.5cm.

The charming colour images which illustrate this map, graphically show the state of industry, resources, railways, imports and exports for each country. Australia, for example, is illustrated with sheep, cattle and mining as well as images of indigenous people, Japanese pearlers and native fauna. Interestingly kangaroos are shown in New Guinea but not in Australia. An inset map of the world shows colonial possessions including Japanese territories in Micronesia.
