Original green cloth covered boards, stamped and lettered in black, xviii + 713pp. index, appendices, 42 black & white illustrations including maps, plans & diagrams, statistical tables. Some browning to text block edges and endpapers, head & tail of spine frayed but neatly re-enforced, cloth splitting along part of the gutter, still a good firm binding
