Poster printed in colour, 38.9 x 54.4 cm, original folds, with small area of paper loss and two pin-sized holes, edge tears and lower left corner trimmed, creased, but in good, bright condition.

Vivid pharmaceuticals poster advertising medication for Japanese families who had migrated to Manchuria. Produced by a company called Eiseigan (Sanitation Pills), the poster features both flags of Japan and Manchukuo with guarding soldiers. The Japan-Manchuria Pharmaceutical Health Association had offices in Tokyo and Shinkyo in Manchuria.

The right side chart shows various types of medications, their effects and number of pills to be taken. The left hand side advertises two types of medication; one for headaches and tooth aches with an illustration of a Western-looking ailing man and another for the common cold (pictured as cartoon demons). The company trademark features a portrait of a military man; the image was traditionally used for other types of health products, including Jintan pills.
