A criticism of the Italian Communist Party (PCI) and Palmiro Togliatti for their apparent failings in maintaining solidarity with the Communist Party of China. Prompted by supposed slander at the PCI's 10th Congress - having "rudely attacked the [CPC] and other fraternal Parties in violation of the principles set forth in the Moscow Declaration" - the editorials proceed to characterise the Italian communist movement as having become beset by revisionism, principally manifested in the Soviet-sponsored policy of peaceful coexistence.
