Tosenkyo (投扇興) is a Japanese traditional game for 2 people who throw an opened fan at a target on a raised platform. The game was very popular in the late Edo period but its popularity gradually declined during the Meiji period. However, in recent years, the game has regained some popularity and there are various circles that enjoy the game. Each player earns points according to the way the three items (fan, target and platform) are placed after a throw. This chart shows 54 different combinations with their scoring points with illustrations. Each combination has a title from the 54 volumes of the Tale of Genji.
