Vol I No. 3. 129pp+ errata & 8 pages of adverts. Vol I No. 4. 96pp & 6 pages of adverts. Volumes1, 2, & 4 paper browned, Volume 3 on a different paper stock and less browned. Head of spine re-enforced, gutters tender but holding firm. With the ex-libris bookplate of Stanley K Hornbeck on the front pastedown and a stamp of the Hoover Institution on the free endpaper. (Stanley Kuhl Hornbeck (May 4, 1883 – December 10, 1966) was an American professor and diplomat. A Rhodes scholar and the author of eight books, he had a thirty-year career in government service. He was chief of the State Department Division of Far Eastern Affairs (1928–1937), a special adviser to Secretary of State Cordell Hull (1937–1944), and ambassador to the Netherlands (1944–1947).
