Tourist brochure featuring an attractive colour folding map of the Korean peninsula accompanied by seven black and white photographic images set within an attractive floral background. Scale 1:3000000, Inset map of Northeast Asia. 52.5 x 38.5cm folds to 19.4 x 9cm. On the reverse of the map text is accompanied by black and white photographic illustrations. Small repaired split one fold, few tiny holes at folds but overall a very good copy.

This travel guide for Korea with its attractive colour cover shows a Korean gentleman in traditional clothes and a long pipe gazing out of a railway carriage window. The map contained within shows the Korean Peninsula with its major cities and transport network, particularly the railway.

Six black and white photographic illustrations of major tourist sites including Seoul and Pyongyang are printed against a background of art illustrations of Korea's national flower, the mugunghwa. Information on major railway lines is printed on reverse.

The writing style is fluid and literary so that readers are able to feel as if they are actually travelling on those routes. Useful travelling information, such as customs requirements and major sightseeing spots are printed in the footer. A very elegant tourist guide with a most attractive map beautifully reflecting the period.
