This large colour map World War II map shows Japan in the centre of the world. Each country and its territories are coloured so that territorial expansions are visible. Three large inset maps are arranged along the lower centre of the map. At the lower left, an inset map shows the current war situation in Europe. The middle of the inset maps shows the world timezones and the lower right inset map shows the "Outer South Sea" (外南洋) which includes the Philippines, Indonesia and Borneo, where rich natural resources are indicated.
