Colour and black and white photographic illustrations, colour illustrations from watercolours, 32pp (unpaginated), 22 x 15cm, embossed pictorial upper cover with silver highlights and titled in green, pictorial endpapers, cloth a little flecked in places. Occasional spotting or marks but overall very good.

This pictorial volume of Harbin and its culture portrays a prosperous and peaceful city. It begins with images of Japanese monuments, including a Shinto shrine and war commemoration, and also introduces important buildings built in the Russian or Manchurian style. Almost everyone in the pictures are non-Japanese residents of Harbin.
