This picture book for children was a supplement to a July 1942 issue of "Ie no hikari", a monthly magazine which was popular among farming communities. The magazine was founded in 1925 and has been continued to be published to today.

Various artists, including Yanagawa Goichi and Yoshizawa Renzaburo, drew the art works in this children's book. The book starts in Tokyo where a family with two little children are paying their respects to the Emperor at the Royal Palace. The work features different countries in the Greater East Asia Sphere, including Manchuria, Indochina, China, Thailand, the Philippines, Dutch East India (Indonesia) and Malaya. The scenes are in general peaceful and children are prominently featured. On the Chinese page, JIngwei Wang is visiting Zhōngshānlíng where Sun Yat-sen was buried. Wang is shown as very friendly with visiting children, patting their heads gently. The main message is that all nations and their peoples are making contributions towards Japanese prosperity through their production of agricultural and natural resources creating happiness for all!
