Stock ID #180480 c illustrated these five postcards to commemorate the Yokohama Exposition held in 1935 to celebrate the industrial and urban recoveries after the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923. Over three million people visited the expo. Yoshida Hatsusaburo was a famous artist who specialised in panoramic bird's-eye view pictorial maps. In this collection, his artwork features various well-known sites in Yokohama, the arrival of the Black Ships and a street scene showing Japan after it was opened to the west.
