Folding printed colour pictographic/pictorial map on blue-print paper, 34.2 x 45cm, 39.2 x 46.8cm (sheet). Wear and loss to the top margin (not affecting the caption), the sheet a little toned and the map slightly offset, but in good condition.

Scarce and unusual bird's-eye view map of 1930s Beijing, with pictographs of famous places such as the Temple of Heaven, the Lama Temple, T'and Shan Hot Springs, Shuang Ho Sheng Brewery, Yenching University, Tsing Hua University, and the Temple of Azure Clouds. The new Commercial Air Field, major roads and railway lines are marked. Published for the tourist market, with text both in Chinese and English it is from a pair of maps published by Science Press and distributed by Lynns Book Store 128 Morrison St, Peiping.
