Chinese Communist anti-American propaganda poster printed double sided in red and black. Light creasing with neat archival repaired tears at margins, trifle chipped at corners. On reverse side, caption to cartoon 39 has been partially masked with a small slip paper for unknown reasons. 37.8 x 53.2cm.

A striking poster that we have not been able to find in any institutional holding. Very good condition.

Side 1; 10 cartoons, including a call for opposition to Ike's visit to the East (Philippines, Taiwan, Japan and Korea), a promise to liberate Taiwan, a call for opposition to the American peace treaty with Japan, a call for Asian people to kick Ike out of Asia, etc.
Side 2: A history of Chinese American relations in a series of 39 cartoons, from the US Imperialist invasion of China in 1844, paving the way for foreign countries to enjoy extraterritorial rights, to a call for American imperialism to be destroyed - the people will be victorious!
