Two 1981 sheets of cotton coupons from Kashgar in Xinjiang, each sheet consisting of four coupons, each coupon entitling the purchase of 500gm of cotton goods, altogether 4kg. Stamped in red with "Kashgar Cotton and Hemp Fabric Manufacturing Company"， 喀什市棉花麻生产资料公司. In December 2002, the two coupon sheets were used as receipts for garments, as the writing shows on reverse. Text in simplified Chinese characters and Latin alphabet romanised Uyghur. In one of the sheets there are two small pin holes, else in excellent condition and colour as new. 14.3 x 8.6cm.
