Group of Chinese American Vintage Price-tags
United States: (Early 20th Century). Stock ID #216837 A group of vintage American price-tags in the route-shield shape, mostly relating to Chinese teas (one stating in English "Lipton Tea 52 cents"), from the condition of the tags and the text corrections, used multiple times. The tags notated in Chinese on the verso were used for an impressive range of mostly oolong varieties including Tieguanyin, Jasmine, Longjing, Wuhe and Lychee. A group of 11 hole-punched price-tags (in the shape of an American route shield) printed in red and black on stiff card, approx 5 x 4.5 cm, with, on the verso, Chinese text in pen and ink (2 with revised prices); one tag with white-paper laid down on the verso, the group age-toned and flecked (one tape-stained, another strengthened with brown-paper at the top), but all in sound condition.
