The dance performance which is regarded to signals spring arrival in Kyoto is held at Kaburenjo in Gion. This booklet is the program for the 1931 performance. The show has eight acts which features famous Kyoto sceneries in different seasons. Each stage setting is printed in colour with English interpretive texts. The program include performers' names and their host houses (okiya) at the end. A list of all okiya in Gion is included at the end. This booklet is a beautiful memento for the 1931 season and it showcases the geisha performers who were dedicated to stage arts in dancing, singing and playing musical instruments.
